TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET CELEBRATES CHERRY BLOSSOM SEASON

The spring months are a highly-anticipated season for travel to Japan. Marked by mild weather and the renowned sakura (cherry blossom), locals and globetrotters alike are drawn to the blooming floral display and thriving cultural and arts calendar.

TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET expands its on-site offering for the season with a calendar of activations and seasonal food and beverage selections, presenting the ideal base from which to explore this Spring.

Guests to TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET during the sakura season are invited to view an intricate floral display of blooms, and join a Hanami (flower-viewing) inspired event, accompanied by live music. Guests will also be offered the opportunity to experience Ambience in Paper, an art installation produced by Hamada Washi, displayed in the hotel lounge from 17 March.

TRUNK(STORE) will offer an array of cherry blossom-inspired treats including a limited-edition sakura cream scone, which joins the staple red bean paste and chocolate chip flavours. Promoting sustainability in the baking process, the TRUNK(STORE) chocolate chip scones are crafted using excess chocolate pieces from the confectionaries sold in-store. To offset the warmer weather, TRUNK will also launch a sakura and citrus green tea flavoured soft serve, available until May.

Both on-site restaurants, TRUNK(KITCHEN) and TRUNK(KUSHI), will provide seasonal menus, paired with a seasonal Japanese sake selection.

A neighbourhood hub for both locals and travelling guests, TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET immerses visitors in authentic Tokyo life. The hotel’s prime location allows short transit to several prime locations, including Tokyo’s National Museum of Modern Art and the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. Several exhibitions will run through the spring:

Guests looking to venture out of the city can utilise TRUNK(HOTEL)CAT STREET as a starting point to explore other popular sightseeing hubs. Spring Golden Week festivals, including the Hakata Dontaku Festival and Takayama Spring Festival, are widely sought-after events outside Tokyo to include in an extended itinerary.

To complement a day of Sakura sight-seeing, TRUNK(STORE) offers a curated selection of accessories, home fragrance, and apparel.
