In 2019, TRUNK(HOUSE) launched as an exclusive, single-occupancy hospitality concept in a former geisha training space in Kagurazaka. TRUNK(HOTEL) YOYOGI PARK opened in Tomigaya, Shibuya in 2023. TRUNK creates hotels that vary in concept according to their location to provide unique luxury accommodation experiences.

TRUNK Co., Ltd., developer of the TRUNK(HOTEL) brand (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yoshitaka Nojiri), is pleased to announce that TRUNK(HOTEL) SAPPORO is scheduled to open in Sapporo, Hokkaido, 17 September 2027.

TRUNK ANNOUNCES THREE NEW OPENINGS AND A MULTI-PART COLLABORATION WITH SUSHI SAITO

TRUNK hospitality group and internationally acclaimed restaurant Sushi Saito have joined forces to present an exciting multi-part collaboration, centred around the Japanese culinary tradition of sushi. The partnership announcement is shared alongside news of three new TRUNK properties, each of which will include a Sushi Saito restaurant. The three new properties are set to open across Japan in 2027/8, marking a significant expansion for the boutique hotel group. TRUNK(HOTEL) SAPPORO and TRUNK(HOTEL) DOGENZAKA are both currently scheduled to open in 2027, followed by TRUNK(HOTEL) KOBE in 2028.

This month marks the 7th anniversary of the first TRUNK(HOTEL) property - TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET. To celebrate the milestone, TRUNK has collaborated with Tokyo-based designer and artist, Naijel Graph, to create an exclusive product collection. Recognised for creating captivating designs, collages, and three-dimensional works, Graph brings his illustrative aesthetic to TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET. The number 7 stands as a central theme to the collection, an auspicious number and signifier of good luck in Japanese culture. The anniversary collection is available to purchase exclusively through TRUNK(STORE).
