This month marks the 7th anniversary of the first TRUNK(HOTEL) property - TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET. To celebrate the milestone, TRUNK has collaborated with Tokyo-based designer and artist, Naijel Graph, to create an exclusive product collection.

Recognised for creating captivating designs, collages, and three-dimensional works, Graph brings his illustrative aesthetic to TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET. The number 7 stands as a central theme to the collection, an auspicious number and signifier of good luck in Japanese culture. ​

TRUNK(HOTEL) YOYOGI PARK launches first site-specific product collection

TRUNK has launched its first site-specific product collection, celebrating its newest and third instalment, TRUNK(HOTEL) YOYOGI PARK, available exclusively online through TRUNK(STORE).

Designed in collaboration with Tokyo-based Keiji Ashizawa Design and Copenhagen-based studio Norm Architects, TRUNK(HOTEL) YOYOGI PARK presents a space centred around an ‘Urban Recharge’. The hotel’s design focuses on holistic principles, drawing inspiration from the cultural makeup of its home city, featuring brutalist elements of exposed concrete in juxtaposition with elegant wooden louvres and delicate greenery to present a balanced aesthetic that speaks to the hotel’s urban yet leafy surroundings.

The interiors feature a range of unique and custom designs that prioritise local designers and makers. The new exclusive product range presents an array of small home accessories and apparel. Highlights include a leather shoe horn sustainably and meticulously crafted by artisans in the Shitamachi area of East Tokyo and a versatile velvety leather pouch.

The new collection also features an exclusive range of T-Shirts sporting designs from the first-floor restaurant, PIZZERIA e TRATTORIA L’OMBELICO. L’OMBELICO invites both the local public and hotel guests to enjoy traditional Italian cuisine with wood-fired pizzas supervised by an award-winning chef responsible for the popular establishment Trattoria e Pizzeria L'ARTE in Sangenjaya. Highlights include the L’OMBELICO Kitchen Long Tee - featuring a playful design with the restaurant’s circular logo on the back, measuring 27cm in diameter, the size of the pizzas served at the restaurant.
